Tulsa, OK June 27, 2014– With the rise of college tuition and hurdle of the economy; students are seeing scholarships to be few and far between. Dr. Robert J. Herman, a respected provider in orthodontic care goes far beyond braces in the community. Every year, Dr. Herman offers a $2000 scholarship to a current or previous patient who is an outstanding senior. Dr. Herman understands and appreciates the necessity of helping outstanding students further their education.
This year, Dr. Herman’s Scholarship committee was enthusiastic to name Dylan Wyatt Hance as their winner! Dylan is an outstanding leader, intelligent student and well rounded individual. His passions include volunteering in his community, working hard to fulfill his professional goals, and teaching others about the importance of being educated in the profession they choose. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, going to the movies, and hanging out with his friends. Dylan is excited to direct Dr. Herman’s Scholarship towards his academic plans to attend University of Central Oklahoma to further his education with a degree in Chemistry and Health Services. After shadowing several local dentists in McAlester, Dylan has plans to continue his education by attending graduate school to pursue his dream of becoming a dentist. His ultimate goal is to change lives with his very own practice. Dylan has been a patient with Dr. Herman for several years and just recently completed his Amazing Smile!
Dr. Herman has offices in Tulsa, Henryetta, Pryor, Vinita, and Bartlesville. He grew up in Bartlesville and is a graduate of Dewey High School. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he studied philosophy before completing his dental training with high distinction at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Herman received his post-doctoral training and a master’s degree in orthodontics also from the University of Oklahoma. He was elected to every academic dental honor society as well as graduate school honor societies. Dr. Herman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
